口裂け女
このところ、拙書「家づくり物語」への
感想文のエントリーが続いているので
たまにはくだらない話を一つ。
事務所移転後は、電車での移動が主になった。
先日、家に帰って家族に向かって
「いや～、今日も電車の中は“口裂け女”がたくさんいたな～」
と、くだらないギャグのつもりで呟いたら
「なにそれ？」
と、冷たい切り替えし。
「いやね、マスクつけてる人ばっかりだったなってことですけど」
と少々控えめに返す。
「いや、だから口裂け女ってなに？」
と、予想以上に話が噛み合っていないことを知る。
なるほど。
これだけ花粉症で苦しむ人だらけになると
「口裂け女」伝説は子供達の間では流行らないらしい。
私が子供のころは口裂け女は強烈に怖かった。
小雨の降る夜の住宅街。
周りには僕以外の人は見当たらない。
「なんか、ちょっと怖いな」と少し早足で家路を急ぐ。
いくつか向こうの角から、紅い傘をさした女性が正面に現れた。
徐々に近づいてくる。
すれ違い様、傘の中を見るともなしにチラッと覗き込んだ。
マスクをしていた！
「ギャー、口裂け女だー！！」
と心の中で大声で叫びながら一目散に駆け出した。
なんて話を息子達したところ
「ふっ」と鼻で笑っただけで終わりにされた。
ちょっと、ぐれてやりたい気分になった。
